Jens Hentschel-Thöricht is a German politician currently serving as a Member of the Landtag of Saxony and as the parliamentary secretary for his faction. Born in Zittau, he began his career as a bank clerk before working as an aide to various parliamentarians and in the municipal administration of Seifhennersdorf. A former member of The Left, he joined the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance in 2024. He has extensive experience in local government, having served in the district council of Görlitz and the city council of Zittau, and has also acted as an honorary judge at the Bautzen Labor Court since 2010.
