Jeremy Moss is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Michigan Senate, representing the 7th district. A member of the Democratic Party, he made history as the first openly gay person elected to the Michigan Senate and the first to serve as its president pro tempore. Prior to his tenure in the Senate, Moss served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2014 to 2018 and was the youngest person ever elected to the Southfield City Council in 2011. Throughout his career, he has focused on legislative and urban affairs, civil rights, and government transparency.
