Jeromy Farkas is a Canadian politician and non-profit executive who has served as the Mayor of Calgary since 2025. Raised in Calgary by Hungarian immigrants, he previously served as a City Councillor from 2017 to 2021. Known for his socially liberal and fiscally conservative views, Farkas gained prominence for declining municipal pension benefits and advocating for transparency in local government. Before his mayoral election, he served as CEO of the Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation, where he led successful advocacy efforts to protect provincial park land. He is also recognized as Calgary's first openly LGBTQ male mayor.
