Jerry Walker is an American politician, nonprofit executive, and former professional basketball player currently serving as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly for the 31st Legislative District. A native of Jersey City, he previously served on the Hudson County Board of Commissioners. Before entering politics, Walker played professional basketball in the United States and Europe and co-founded Team Walker, a nonprofit organization dedicated to academic enrichment for inner-city children. He has been recognized for his community service and advocacy in the Hudson County region.
