Sterley Stanley

Sterley Stanley is an American politician and businessman serving as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly representing the 18th Legislative District. Born in Karnataka, India, he immigrated to the United States as a child and later built a career in the insurance and financial services industry. Before his election to the state legislature in 2021, he served on the East Brunswick township council, including a tenure as Council President. Stanley is noted as the first Asian-American legislator to represent his district, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Assembly Regulated Professions Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Assembly Education Committee.
