Jess Teesdale

Jess Teesdale is an Australian politician currently serving as the Member of the House of Representatives for the Division of Bass. Born in 1987, she grew up in Launceston and pursued a career in education, graduating from the University of Tasmania in 2010. Before entering federal politics, she spent a decade working as a school teacher in the Northern Territory and later at the Indie School in Launceston. She was elected to Parliament in the 2025 Australian federal election, where she successfully unseated the incumbent representative.
