Jihad Dib

Jihad Dib is an Australian politician who has served as the Member for Bankstown in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly since 2023. Born in Lebanon and migrating to Australia as a child, he previously had a distinguished career as an educator, notably serving as the principal of Punchbowl Boys High School from 2007 to 2014. First elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2015 for the seat of Lakemba, he has held various shadow ministerial portfolios, including Education, Youth, and Energy. He is recognized for his community advocacy and his role as a prominent representative of the Muslim community in New South Wales politics.
