Jim Hoops is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives. He first served in the House from 1999 to 2006, representing his district before reaching term limits. After a period in the private sector, he returned to the legislature in 2018 to fill a vacancy and has since been re-elected to full terms. Prior to his legislative career, Hoops served as the Henry County Auditor. In 2025, he announced his candidacy for the Ohio Senate to succeed Rob McColley.
