Jim Tressel

Jim Tressel is an American politician and former college football coach who has served as the 67th Lieutenant Governor of Ohio since 2025. Before entering public office, he had a distinguished career in higher education and athletics, notably serving as the president of Youngstown State University from 2014 to 2023. As a football coach, he led teams at Youngstown State and Ohio State University to five national championships, earning induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015. He was appointed to his current role by Governor Mike DeWine in early 2025.
