Jo Stevens is a British politician serving as the Secretary of State for Wales since 2024 and as the Member of Parliament for Cardiff East. Born in Swansea, she studied law at Manchester University before working as a director at Thompsons Solicitors. First elected to Parliament in 2015 for Cardiff Central, she has held various shadow cabinet positions, including Shadow Secretary of State for Wales and Shadow Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. A unionist, she has taken positions against the devolution of policing and justice powers.
