Rachel Blake

Rachel Blake is a British politician serving as the Member of Parliament for the Cities of London and Westminster since 2024 and as Economic Secretary to the Treasury since May 2026. A member of the Labour Co-op party, she previously served as a councillor for the Bow East ward on the Tower Hamlets London Borough Council from 2014 to 2024, including a tenure as deputy mayor. Her political career has focused on housing policy, energy efficiency, and urban development, having previously worked as a policy adviser at HM Treasury and as a manager for the East London Housing Partnership. Blake holds a degree from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, and a master's degree in social policy from the London School of Economics.
