Johannes Steiniger is a German politician and teacher who has served as a member of the Bundestag for the constituency of Neustadt – Speyer since 2013. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he previously chaired the Young Union in Rhineland-Palatinate from 2010 to 2018. Within the Bundestag, he serves on the Finance and Sports Committees, notably acting as his parliamentary group's rapporteur on climate protection and participating in the Wirecard scandal inquiry. Steiniger has occasionally diverged from his party's majority, most notably by voting in favor of same-sex marriage in 2017.
