John Brassard

John Brassard is a Canadian politician serving as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Barrie—Innisfil. First elected in 2015, he previously served as a city councillor in Barrie and worked as a firefighter. During his parliamentary career, he has held several leadership roles, including Deputy Whip of the Official Opposition and Opposition House Leader. In the 45th Canadian Parliament, he was elected as the chair of the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics.
