John Kissel

John Andrew Kissel is an American politician who has served as a member of the Connecticut State Senate since 1993, representing the 7th district. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, and raised in Windsor, Connecticut, he is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the Western New England College School of Law. In addition to his legislative career, Kissel works as a corporate attorney for the energy company Eversource. Politically, he is known for his opposition to the legalization of marijuana and his focus on issues affecting his district, which includes several major state correctional facilities.
