John Lahart

John Lahart is an Irish politician who has served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin South-West constituency since 2016. A member of Fianna Fáil, he previously served as a member of the South Dublin County Council from 1999 to 2016. Before entering national politics, Lahart worked as a teacher and a psychotherapist. Following his re-election in 2024, he was appointed Cathaoirleach of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade. He is known for his active participation in parliamentary committees and his advocacy on various national and local policy issues.
