John Ruddick

John Ruddick is an Australian politician serving as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council since April 2023. A former long-time member of the Liberal Party, he transitioned to the Libertarian Party, becoming the first member of the party to be elected to the New South Wales Parliament. Throughout his career, Ruddick has advocated for internal party democratization and has taken strong stances on civil liberties, including opposition to COVID-19 lockdowns and recent social media age restrictions. He is also a mortgage broker and the president of the Digital Freedom Project.
