Jones Moura is a Brazilian politician and former municipal guard who served as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies. Born in Nova Iguaçu in 1974, he began his career as a public servant in the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Guard in 1996. He gained prominence as a labor activist within the force before being elected as a city councilor for Rio de Janeiro in 2016. In 2021, he became the first municipal guard in Brazil to serve as a federal deputy. Throughout his political career, he has been a vocal advocate for the arming of municipal guards and has maintained a strong connection to his evangelical faith.
