Jong-min Kim is a South Korean politician and former journalist currently serving as a three-term member of the National Assembly for the Sejong-si Gap constituency. Born in Nonsan, he began his career as a political reporter before serving as an administrative officer and spokesperson in the Office of the President during the Roh Moo-hyun administration. He later served as the Vice Governor of South Chungcheong Province. Throughout his legislative career, he has been active in various committees, including the Legislation and Judiciary Committee and the Trade, Industry, Energy, SMEs, and Startups Committee. After leaving the Democratic Party of Korea, he participated in the formation of the New Future party before becoming an independent legislator.
