Jorge Brito Hasbún is a Chilean politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies for District No. 7. Born in Talca, he is an industrial civil engineer who rose to prominence as a student leader during the 2011 Chilean student movement. A founding member of the Revolución Democrática party, he has been a vocal advocate for human rights, renewable energy, and the restriction of military jurisdiction over civilians. He was first elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2017 and was re-elected in 2021, representing the Broad Front coalition.
