José María Rodríguez Mérida was a Mexican politician who served as the sixth Municipal President of Mexicali, Baja California, holding office from 1965 to 1968. His administration presided over the fifth municipal council of the city. He is remembered in local history through the naming of the locality Colonia José María Rodríguez Mérida, also known as La Panga, which honors his tenure as a municipal leader in the region.
