Lourdes Paz

María de Lourdes Paz Reyes is a Mexican politician and lawyer currently serving as the Mayor of Iztacalco in Mexico City, a position she assumed on October 1, 2024. A member of the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA), she previously served two consecutive terms as a local deputy in the Congress of Mexico City, where she chaired the Health Commission. During her legislative tenure, she gained national attention for proposing initiatives aimed at public health and alcohol regulation. She holds a law degree from the Universidad Veracruzana and a specialization in Constitutional Justice.
