A member of the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA), she previously served multiple terms in the Chamber of Deputies, representing Sonora's third district and serving as a plurinominal deputy. Throughout her career, she has held various administrative roles, including director of the DIF system in Sonora, and has focused her legislative work on migration, border affairs, and social development. She began her political career with the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) before transitioning to MORENA in 2018.
