José Mayans

José Miguel Ángel Mayans is an Argentine politician serving as a National Senator for Formosa Province since 2001, making him the longest-serving active senator in the country. A prominent member of the Justicialist Party, he has led the Peronist parliamentary bloc in the Senate and served as Vice President of the party. Before his tenure in the national senate, he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Formosa from 1987 to 2001.
