Josue Ortega

Josue O. Ortega is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives for the 3rd district since 2025. Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, he previously worked as a community liaison for the New Castle County government. In the legislature, Ortega has prioritized the expansion of multilingual constituent services and has sponsored legislation aimed at protecting undocumented students from civil immigration enforcement in schools. He represents part of Wilmington and assumed office following an uncontested election in 2024.
