Joyanta Basumatary

Joyanta Basumatary is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha, representing the Kokrajhar constituency following his victory in the 2024 Indian general election. Prior to his election to the national parliament, he served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Sidli constituency in Assam, a position he has held since 2021. He is a prominent member of the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) and remains an active figure in the political landscape of Assam.
