Juliet Adileen Basson is a South African politician currently serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa, a position she has held since June 2025 representing the Patriotic Alliance. Before her parliamentary career, she was a candidate for the Patriotic Alliance in a municipal by-election in the Msukaligwa Local Municipality in October 2024. As a parliamentarian, she serves on the Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour and the Portfolio Committee on Tourism. She is noted for her advocacy against poor working conditions, having publicly condemned the state of sweatshops in Newcastle as akin to slavery in early 2026.
