Julio Alak

Julio César Alak is an Argentine politician currently serving as the Mayor of La Plata, a position he assumed in December 2023. A lawyer by profession, he previously served as the Mayor of La Plata from 1991 to 2007, as the Minister of Justice and Human Rights of Argentina from 2009 to 2015, and as the Minister of Justice and Human Rights of Buenos Aires Province from 2019 to 2023. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure within the Peronist movement and the Justicialist Party, focusing on legal reform, public infrastructure, and regional administration.
