Juris Viļums

Juris Viļums is a Latvian politician currently serving as a member of the 14th Saeima. A long-time advocate for Latgalian culture and language, he previously served in the 11th and 12th Saeima and as a deputy in the Dagda municipal council. Educated in economics and management at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies and the University of Latvia, he has worked in regional development and public administration. Viļums is known for his efforts to promote the Latgalian identity, including his public use of the Latgalian language during parliamentary proceedings.
