Jussi Halla-aho is a Finnish politician currently serving as the Speaker of the Parliament of Finland since 2023. A linguist by training with a PhD in Slavic studies, he rose to prominence as a political blogger known for his vocal criticism of multiculturalism and immigration policies. He has served as a member of the Parliament of Finland since 2019, having previously held the seat from 2011 to 2014, and was a member of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2019. Halla-aho led the Finns Party from 2017 to 2021 and was the party's candidate in the 2024 Finnish presidential election.
