Lulu Ranne

Lulu Ranne is a Finnish politician currently serving as a Member of the Parliament of Finland and as the Minister of Transport and Communications in the Orpo Cabinet since 2023. Born in Kristinestad in 1971, she spent much of her youth in Haparanda, Sweden, and is fluent in both Finnish and Swedish. Politically, Ranne is known for her critical stance on international climate policy, having characterized the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change as a political organization rather than a scientific one. She has advocated for a focus on technological solutions like fusion power over international climate conferences, which she argues prioritize maintaining a sense of crisis.
