Kaisa Garedew

Kaisa Garedew is a Finnish politician currently serving as a Member of the Parliament of Finland representing the Central Finland constituency. A member of the Finns Party, she has been active in national politics since her election. In December 2025, Garedew gained international attention after posting a social media image mimicking a gesture of pulling the corners of her eyes, an act widely criticized as racist mockery of East Asian people. She defended the gesture as a show of support for a former Miss Finland and stated she had nothing to apologize for, despite the incident prompting an official apology from Prime Minister Petteri Orpo to several Asian nations.
