K. N. Balagopal

K. N. Balagopal is an Indian politician belonging to the Communist Party of India (Marxist) who serves as a Member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly representing Kottarakkara and previously held office as the Minister for Finance for the Government of Kerala. Born in Pathanamthitta, Kerala, he holds degrees in commerce and law and began his political career through student and youth organizations such as the Students Federation of India and DYFI. He previously served as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from 2010 to 2016 and as political secretary to the Chief Minister of Kerala.
