Kambrell Garvin

Kambrell Garvin is an American attorney and politician serving as a Democratic member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for District 77. First elected in 2018, he has focused his legislative work on education, social justice, and criminal justice reform, including proposing bills to prohibit discrimination based on hair and to remove conviction-related questions from job applications. A former public school teacher, Garvin holds degrees from Winthrop University and Johns Hopkins University, and earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina. He is also a practicing attorney and has served in leadership roles within the House Minority Caucus.
