Kaname Tajima is a Japanese politician serving as a nine-term member of the House of Representatives. Born in Nagoya, he graduated from the University of Tokyo and earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Before entering politics, he worked at NTT. Throughout his career, he has held positions such as Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and has been a prominent figure in energy and environmental policy, advocating for renewable energy and energy conservation. He is currently affiliated with the Chudo Kaikaku Rengo and serves as the Chair of the Environment and Energy Comprehensive Research Committee for the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan.
