강성휘

Kang Seong-hwi is a South Korean politician currently serving as the 42nd Mayor of Mokpo. A graduate of Chonnam National University with a doctorate in public administration from Mokpo National University, he began his career as a student activist before serving multiple terms as a member of the Mokpo City Council and the South Jeolla Provincial Council. He has held various roles in local government and civil society, including serving as the head of the Jeollanam-do Social Service Institute. He was elected mayor in 2026 as a member of the Democratic Party of Korea.
