Kani K. Navas

Kani K. Navas is an Indian politician serving as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha for the Ramanathapuram constituency in Tamil Nadu since 2019. A member of the Indian Union Muslim League, he has served on various parliamentary committees, including those focused on health, family welfare, and shipping. Navas made history as the first Indian Union Muslim League MP from Tamil Nadu in the Lok Sabha since the 1970s. In early 2025, he became the subject of public controversy regarding allegations of non-vegetarian food consumption near a sacred site, which he has formally denied.
