Karen Castrejón Trujillo is a Mexican lawyer and politician currently serving as a Senator of the Republic for the 66th and 67th Congresses, a position she assumed in September 2024. Since November 2020, she has also served as the National President of the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico (PVEM), becoming the first woman to lead the party. Previously, she served as a local deputy in the Congress of Guerrero from 2012 to 2015 and as the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources for the state of Guerrero under Governor Héctor Astudillo Flores. She holds a law degree from the Autonomous University of Guerrero and a diploma in Environmental Law and Management from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
