Karen McMahon is an American lawyer and politician currently serving as a member of the New York State Assembly, representing the 146th district. Her district encompasses the village of Williamsville as well as the towns of Amherst and Pendleton. Before entering the state legislature, McMahon built a career in the legal field, serving for many years as a law clerk for both state and federal judiciaries. She was first elected to the Assembly in November 2018 after defeating the four-term incumbent Republican Ray Walter.
