Jake Blumencranz

Jake Blumencranz is an American politician serving as a member of the New York State Assembly for the 15th district since 2023. A resident of Oyster Bay, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Religious Studies from Rice University and a Master of Science in Regional Urban Planning and Economic Development from the London School of Economics. Prior to his legislative career, he worked as a business executive. In the Assembly, Blumencranz has emphasized his identity as a Millennial representative and has pursued bipartisan initiatives, including prison reform through student loan forgiveness for mental health professionals and expanding access to EpiPens for first responders. He has also been a vocal critic of Metropolitan Transportation Authority tax hikes affecting his constituents.
