Stacey Pheffer Amato is an American politician serving as a member of the New York State Assembly, representing the 23rd district in Queens since 2017. Before her election, she worked as an education paraprofessional for the New York City Department of Education and as a procurement analyst for the FDNY and the Department of Sanitation. In the Assembly, she chairs the Governmental Employees Committee and has been recognized for her legislative output, including the passage of numerous bills. She is the daughter of former Queens County Clerk Audrey Pheffer, and they are the first mother-daughter team to hold the same seat in the New York State Legislature.
