Karin Keller-Sutter

Karin Keller-Sutter is a Swiss politician who has served as a member of the Federal Council of Switzerland since 2019 and as President of the Swiss Confederation for 2025. A member of The Liberals, she previously represented the canton of St. Gallen in the Council of States from 2011 to 2019, serving as its president in 2017–2018. Before her national career, she held various roles in cantonal and municipal government. She is recognized for her work as head of the Federal Department of Finance and her involvement in the acquisition of Credit Suisse by UBS.
