Karin Keller-Sutter is a Swiss politician and pedagogist who has served as a member of the Federal Council of Switzerland since 2019 and as President of the Swiss Confederation for 2025. Previously, she represented the canton of St. Gallen in the Council of States from 2011 to 2019, serving as its president in 2017. A member of The Liberals, she has held various municipal and cantonal roles throughout her career and is currently the head of the Federal Department of Finance, where she notably managed the acquisition of Credit Suisse by UBS.
