Karin Scheele is an Austrian politician and a member of the Landtag of Lower Austria. Born in Baden bei Wien, she studied commercial sciences at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Her extensive political career includes serving as a Member of the European Parliament from 1999 to 2008 and as a provincial councilor (Landesrätin) for health and social administration in the Lower Austrian government from 2008 to 2013. She has also served as the chair of the Naturfreunde Niederösterreich.
