Karl Bohnak is an American politician and former television meteorologist serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives for the 109th district. Before entering politics, he spent decades as a prominent broadcast meteorologist in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, notably at WLUC-TV and WZMQ-TV, and authored several books on regional weather and history. A self-described fiscal conservative and social libertarian, Bohnak advocates for local control of land use, parental input in school curricula, and energy policy reform. He assumed office in 2025 after winning the 2024 general election.
