Karla Drenner is an American politician and academic serving as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives for the 85th district. First elected in 2000, she holds the distinction of being the first openly gay member of the Georgia General Assembly. Beyond her legislative career, Drenner is an adjunct professor at DeVry University and the owner of an environmental safety and health consulting firm.
