
Karoline Edtstadler

Karoline Edtstadler is an Austrian politician and jurist who has served as the Governor of Salzburg since July 2025. Previously, she held several high-level federal positions, including Federal Minister for the EU and Constitution from 2020 to 2025 and State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior. A member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), she also served as a Member of the European Parliament in 2019. Before entering politics, Edtstadler worked as a judge and a public prosecutor, specializing in criminal law and anti-corruption efforts.
