
Katherine Grainger

Katherine Grainger is a British politician, academic, and former elite rower who serves as a member of the House of Lords. A highly decorated athlete, she is a 2012 Olympic gold medallist and a six-time World Champion. Beyond her sporting career, she holds a PhD in law from King's College London and has served as the Chancellor of the University of Glasgow. In 2025, she was awarded a life peerage, and she is set to become the first female chair of the British Olympic Association in 2025.
