Kathrin Gebel is a German politician and member of the Bundestag, representing the Left Party. Born in 1997 in Recklinghausen, she studied psychology in Magdeburg and at the University of the Saarland. Gebel has been active in the Left Party and its youth organization, Linksjugend solid, since age 18, serving in leadership roles including the federal spokesperson council. In 2025, she was elected to the German Bundestag via the North Rhine-Westphalian state list. She currently serves as deputy parliamentary group chair and is a member of the Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment, as well as the Committee on Health.
