Katja Weitzel

Katja Weitzel is a German politician and lawyer who has served as a member of the Landtag of Bavaria since 2023. Born in 1973 in Mainz, she studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and business administration at the SRH Fernhochschule. Weitzel has been a self-employed attorney since 2005 and has held various local political roles, including serving in the Laim district committee in Munich and the district council of Upper Bavaria. Additionally, she served as a non-professional judge at the Bavarian Constitutional Court from 2013 to 2018 and has been active in the Working Group of Social Democratic Jurists.
