Tomohiro Kato is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Gifu 4th district. Born in Shirakawa, Gifu Prefecture, he graduated from the Faculty of Science at Shizuoka University. Before entering national politics, he served as a secretary to politician Takao Fujii and held a seat in the Gifu Prefectural Assembly for five terms, eventually serving as the assembly's vice-chair. In February 2026, he was elected to the House of Representatives as a candidate for the Liberal Democratic Party. He is also active in regional sports administration, serving as the chairman of the Gifu Prefecture Rowing Association.
