Katrin Schmidberger

Katrin Schmidberger is a German politician and a member of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin, representing the Alliance 90/The Greens. Born in 1982, she studied social sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin and began her political career with the Green Youth. Since 2011, she has served in the Berlin House of Representatives, where she has focused extensively on housing policy, tenant protection, and urban development. Schmidberger is known for her advocacy against the privatization of public land and her support for initiatives such as the Berlin rent cap and the socialization of large housing companies.
